Chavez For Charity Hosts "Make Your Own Bracelet Day" At St. Joseph's Children's Hospital

Book Buggy Brings Supports To NICU Families

PATERSON, NJ [May 14, 2015] – Adelyn's Book Buggy donated close to 300 books to the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and  Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Dina Jo and Ryan Bradley (pictured), Co-Founders, donated the mini library in hopes that the books “will help to bring other families their family love, hope, strength and comfort, as it did to our family.”

East Rutherford, NJ – May 14, 2015State Fair Meadowlands, the largest fair in the New York metro area with over 150 rides and attractions, today announced that for the first time ever, it will be welcoming the Lipizzaner Stallions & Horses of the World Show, featuring the stunning Royal Lipizzaner breed, as well as Friesian sport horse stallions and a dancing Andalusian horse. The fair runs June 19 through July 5, at the State Fair Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

PARAMUS, N.J. – Two Bergen Community College students have received a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) to study “need languages” as part of multi-week language institutes in Jordan and Japan. Fewer than 10 percent of applicants earn entry into the federally sponsored program, according to the most recent data from the Department of State.

Boards of Hackensack University Health Network and Meridian Health Approve Merger

May 12, 2015 – New Jersey – Meridian Health and Hackensack University Health Network announced today that they have signed the definitive agreement for the two health systems to merge and become Hackensack Meridian Health.  The agreement follows nearly seven months of due diligence during which time a thorough review of clinical, regulatory, service, and financial issues occurred. The merger still requires state and federal regulatory clearance, which the health systems expect within the next nine to twelve months.
