Walk from Obesity

$More than 200 people participated in the 4th annual Walk from Obesity Sunday morning at Riverside Park in Manhattan. The popular ASBS Foundation fundraiser, which was co-sponsored by Dr. Joseph Kamelgard and his Lighter for Life bariatric surgery practice, is aimed at helping to reduce disability, death and discrimination of people who are morbidly obese by educating the public and healthcare professionals about effective treatments. Preliminary numbers indicate that this yearâ€™s walk raised more than \\$15,000.$

Vantage, a nonprofit behavioral healthcare center, provides a comprehensive range of community based mental health, addiction and eldercare services to individuals and families in Bergen County.
