Bergen Community College Center for Business and Industry to Host a Free Busines


The Bergen Community College Center for Business and Industry is hosting a free business seminar titled “Manager to Leader”—led by Debra Hamilton, President of Creative Communications & Training, Inc. and Ken Giglio, Principal of Mindful Leadership, LLC,— Friday, October 13, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the Moses Family Meeting and Training Center, TEC 128, at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652.The workshop, which will focus on developing an integrated approach to strengthening leadership skills, is the second offered in a free seminar series that is sponsored by the Bergen County Workforce Investment Board and Bergen Community College’s Division of Continuing Education Center for Business and Industry. The workshop facilitators both have over twenty years experience in their respective fields—from needs assessment to workshop facilitation, Debra Hamilton is a leading developer in training programs that engage participants and focus them on their specific work-related challenges. Ken Giglio, a proven leader in the financial services industry, will discuss how to build effective relationships, identify signature strengths, develop interpersonal skills, and increase emotional intelligence. 

Since 1991, the Center for Business and Industry at Bergen Community College has responded to the needs of regional businesses by providing cost-effective, custom-tailored training and retraining in diverse areas, from leadership to computers and technology to sales and customer service. The Center provides services to various types of organizations, and training can take place on-site or at the outstanding facilities at the College’s Paramus or Hackensack campuses. Its courses, taught by highly skilled trainers, can help companies improve productivity, increase profitability, and sharpen technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Center can also assist companies that want to keep their workforces up to date with computer and high-tech training.
