Bergen Community College and NYIT Sign Transfer Agreement


Dr. Judith K. Winn, President of Bergen Community College and Dr. Edward Guiliano, President of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) recently signed a formal Transfer Articulation Agreement for NYIT’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Bachelor of Professional Studies Degree in Hospitality Management. Under the terms of the agreement, students who follow the prescribed degree pattern and earn an Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) in Engineering Science at Bergen will have completed 63 credits towards the Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYIT. Additionally, Bergen students who follow the prescribed degree pattern for an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) in Business Technology, with the Hotel/Restaurant Hospitality Management Option, will have will have completed 63 credits towards the Bachelor of Professional Studies Degree (B.P.S.) in Hospitality Management at NYIT.

Bergen currently has articulation agreements with 20 four-year colleges and universities and offers over 40 A.A. and A.S. transfer programs.

Bergen Community College is a public two-year coeducational college, enrolling more than 14,000 students in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degree programs, and certificate programs. More than 10,000 students are enrolled in non-credit, professional courses through the Division of Continuing Education, the Institute for Learning in Retirement, and the Philip J.
