Women of Achievement Awards Dinner

As proud members of the premiere organization for girls, the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County has a long history of building character and giving girls skills for success in the real world.

The Women of Achievement Awards Dinner is an annual event that honors outstanding women whose lives have been marked by achievement and serve as positive role models who exemplify what we strive to instill in girls through Girl Scouting. This year’s honorees represent an elite group of accomplished women:
Dr. Jennifer Ashton, OB-GYN, Adolescent Gynecologist and Fox News Medical Contributor
Donnett Barnett, Director – External Affairs, Verizon
Maxine Frampton, Director, Bergen County United Way’s Women United in Philanthropy
Carol W. Greene, New Jersey Historic Preservationist and Community Volunteer

This year we will present the Juliette Low Award to:
Elaine Walsh, First Vice President, Girl Scout Council of Bergen County

The Women of Achievement Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Seasons in Washington Township. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and promises to be a memorable evening that features a lavish cocktail reception, elegant dinner buffet and live music. Once again, the festivities will include a Silent Auction to tempt the nearly 200 guests who join us from area corporations and the community at large. This year, we are delighted to welcome Dress for Success Worldwide Chief Executive Officer Joi Gordon as our Mistress of Ceremonies.

The Women of Achievement Awards Dinner is our largest adult fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from this event will support programs and services for over 13,000 Girl Scouts in Bergen County as we inspire them to become tomorrow’s extraordinary leaders, our future Women of Achievement.
