Ocean County College’s enrollment has continually increased annually by seven percent. Currently, the college is comprised of approximately 9,000 students. In order to better serve the growing student population, the college has committed to the design and construction of a new academic building as well as additional parking.
To be situated in a prominent location on the main campus, the new building will be located between the existing library and academic buildings. The new facility of approximately 30,000 square feetf will include general classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices, student and staff lounges, storage areas and a college-wide conference room.
French & Parrello and KS Engineers are assisting DMR on this project. The new educational building will be LEED® certified and designed in a traditional vernacular that is complementary to the existing campus context in an effort to emulate the surrounding natural elements.
