Gamka Sales Co. presented with plaque from NJ Dept. VFW

Gamka Sales Co.
On August 8, 2007, SFC (RET) Robert Garry Fletcher, Local Veterans Employment Representative, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, presented Gamka Sales Company of Edison, NJ with a plaque from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of New Jersey, for Gamka’s active participation in the hiring of U.S. military veterans for their workforce.Gamka Sales Company is a distributor of construction equipment, products and supplies covering the entire state since 1986. More details on the company are available on our website: www.gamka.com

The plaque reads, “Presented to Gamka Sales In Recognition of Excellence in Hiring and Promotion of US Military Veterans and is from Frank Moore, VFW State Commander and Kevin Fitzpatrick, VFW State Employment Officer.

The attached pdf file gives details on the award itself. The presentation date referenced in the letter was actually postponed from June 14th to August 8th. Pictured in the photo entitled “VFW Award Plaque Awardees” are (L-R) J.R. Weiss, Gamka VP; Dave Gerhard, Gamka mechanic (Vet); Karl Weiss, Gamka President (Vet); Cleveland Dainty, Gamka mechanic (Vet); Bob Hibler Gamka Director of Marketing; and Ron Weiss, Gamka VP. The photo named “VFW Award Plaque Presentation by DOL” depicts Dave Gerhard, Gamka mechanic (Vet); Karl Weiss, Gamka President (Vet); Cleveland Dainty, Gamka mechanic (Vet); Bob Hibler Gamka Director of Marketing and SFC (RET) Robert Garry Fletcher, Local Veterans Employment Representative, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

On the day of the ceremony, not all of the veterans employed by Gamka were available to be photographed. Missing was Dan Figueroa, Gamka mechanic.

Availing itself of the pool of reliable, disciplined and well trained U.S. military veterans has been extremely effective for Gamka. We were exceptionally pleased to be recognized by the VFW but have been far more pleased with the performance of the veterans employed.

Karl Weiss is a resident of River Vale, Ron Weiss lives in Paramus, J.R. Weiss resides in Monmouth Junction and Bob Hibler is from Westwood.
