Paramus Native Wins Praise At Hollywood Book Festival

Paramus native’s Jeffrey Onorato’s debut novel, The SIN of Addison Hall, received an Honorable Mention at the 2011 Hollywood Book Festival.

Onorato’s novel, published by Bryant Park Press, draws the reader into a futuristic world where beautiful people are considered superior and unattractive people are forced to live as second-class citizens. Amidst clever antics of hasty tasty meals (fast nutritional supplement consumed by the residents of this world), caffeine tablets and perspiration shops, where the overweight are sent so they can be more pleasant to look at, is an introspective tale. Onorato explores the concept of a "master race" and how a vain value system can corrupt a society.

“I am humbled by all the attention The SIN of Addison Hall has received”, said Onorato. “Writing is such a solitary act and I am never sure if what I am writing is going to be entertaining. This recognition lets me know that there is an audience for the subject and style of my work”.

The author was born and raised in Paramus, attended Bergen Catholic High School, and he now lives in Westchester County with his wife and two small children.
