Once again, Bob Gordon has waited until the waning days of his term in the Senate to weigh in on an important public policy issue for the people of the 38th Legislative District, Senate Republican candidate John Driscoll said today
“Once again, Bob Gordon is a day late and a dollar short,” said Driscoll, the 38th District Republican Senate Candidate and Bergen County Freeholder Chairman. “The Bergen County Freeholders have supported the Pascack Valley Hospital with unanimous and bipartisan support for the last three years, but Trenton politician Bob Gordon wouldn’t join us until now that he’s desperately trying to stay in office.
“Where has Bob been if he’s just now joining our fight to reopen this hospital, which is important to the health of our residents and our economy?” added Driscoll who supported the Bergen County Pascack Valley Hospital resolution in both of his years on the board.
Driscoll compared this issue to Gordon’s sudden interest in flood legislation.
“If it takes Bob eight years to learn that our district floods and we need this hospital, what else has he been missing?” Driscoll said. “At least he is supporting the hospital that will create jobs unlike his opposition to the new jobs created by the American Dream Project.”
