6th annual event slated for Nov. 11-13, at Cedar Lane Cinemas
Thanks to Heritage Pointe of Teaneck and a collection of other sponsors, residents of Teaneck and surrounding towns will have an opportunity to enjoy the sixth annual edition of the Teaneck International Film Festival.
Featuring the theme “Activism: Making Change,” the three-day event will run from November 11 through 13 at Cedar Lane Cinemas. Showcased will be a broad range of films – including documentaries, dramas, and comedies – that represent various world cultures.
“Many of our residents play an active role in the cultural life of Teaneck, so this sponsorship seemed ideal,” explains Wendy Palmiero, executive director of Heritage Pointe, a full-service retirement community. “The International Film Festival has evolved into a wonderful Teaneck tradition, and we’re delighted to take part this year in helping it continue.”
Among the festival’s other sponsors is the non-profit Puffin Foundation, which helps the arts thrive by providing grants to artists and arts organizations. At the Teaneck event, scholarships will be awarded to select filmmakers.
