Hot on the heels of Taylor Stevens’ “blazingly brilliant debut” (Publisher’s Weekly starred review) thriller The Informationist comes THE INNOCENT, on-sale December 27th, an emotionally gripping new novel featuring her fierce protagonist Vanessa Michael Munroe
You may recall reading about Taylor’s compelling back-story when The Informationist went on-sale earlier this year (the book received rave reviews from the New York Times, USA Today, Los Angeles Times and more and rights were sold to 17 territories). Taylor was born into the Children of God cult where she travelled all over the world from Zurich to Kenya. She was denied an education after the age of 12 and in her 20s she escaped, leaving behind everything she knew to start over in the U.S.
While her back-story is utterly unique I don’t want to undermine her writing- it’s terrific! Stevens has penned one of the most original butt-kicking protagonists I’ve read in a long time- Vanessa Munroe. Like Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Stieg Larrson’s Lisbeth Salander, and Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne, Munroe is a character who is utterly unique and she has quickly become a fan favorite!
Stevens’ follow-up thriller, THE INNOCENT, is set in Morocco and Buenos Aires and is every bit as good as book one- it really delivers!
