Wendy Worden of Calypso Creative Wows Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club

Meeting 1-31-12
Have you ever encountered a beautiful soft spoken woman who exudes confidence? That is Wendy Worden who recently founded Calypso Creative for developing strategic planning for non-profits. Prior to that she was a PR and development person for a Paramus School. After achieving success there, she struck out on her own and has been very successful. Her knowledge of various types of fundraising events is enormous.

Wendy spoke about the work that she has been doing and how she has helped non-profits by assisting them in their fundraising endeavors. She explained to the Paramus Sunrise members how she would go about helping and at a nominal charge. After the talk, she was besieged by some of the members who thought she might be of help. She was also asked, once again, to join Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club, something many organizations have tried to do.

President Gary Spivak spoke about the recent successful Jewish International Dinner that was held at Harold's NY Deli in Lyndhurst. He also discussed the April 15th Fashion Show which will be moving to Bergen Community College. Gary has procured several prominent models for this Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club's main fundraiser. Mentioned were the three winners of the raffle drawing held at the last meeting, Joe D'Arco, Claire Doane and the grand prize winner Kevin Reiner..

Gary also appointed Bob Doyle of Cartridge World and members Sophie Stone and Tina Apprich to a committee for setting up the International Dinner themes and places. Discussed was an Irish International Dinner and perhaps a visit to Medieval Times as well as other ethnic venues..
