Rotary Charity Fashion Show A Combined Effort Success At Bergen Community College

Rotary Charity Fashion Show

Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club partnered with the Bergen Community College Rotary Club to produce the 4th Sunrise Fashion Show. It required a tremendous effort on both clubs to cohere the two groups and make the charity fundraiser a success. As stated by Rotarians Mukesh Malkan and Sherry Wilson, one club supplied the power and the other club supplied the manpower. The joint effort produced a tremendous fashion show and great food.

John Montone of 1010 WINS ably did the master of ceremony bit and after she finished modeling, was joined by Christine Nagy, a radio host on FM radio. The dynamic duo described the models and their clothing as well, for the most part from Bloomingdale's, the source. Songs were done by Kaylin Cohen, a beautiful voice and DJ music was supplied by Pat Verile and his assistant.

Interim President Jose Adames stopped by, but, due to the pressure of the heavy scholastic end of the year activities, had to leave early to attend another commitment. Other dignitaries included NJ Assemblywoman Connie Wagner, Mike DeLamater (her Legislative Aide and a model), NJ Assembly candidate Tracy Zur, CAFS President Bob Jones who also doubled as a model. www.ParamusPost.com was out in full force with co-publisher Sophie Stone handling most of the show details, publisher Sam Stone and reporter Clarence Stone taking pictures and videos.

The adult models were: Mike DeLameter, Bob Jones, Sharon Maloney, Christine Nagy, Jeanine Nostrame and Mayor Rich and Paramus First Lady MaryAnn LaBarbiera. The teen models were Jesse Fregnani, Cassandra Stone and Kel Thurber. The younger generation was represented by kids of all ages. Amanda and Samantha Castelano, Michael McCarthy, Kirsten and Sarah Spivak and Christy Stone. It was fun to watch the below teen generation perform antics as they proceeded down the runway.

Tara Masterson, General Manager of The Melting Pot, donated some of the most delicious desserts that the Melting Pot is famous for. The tricky tray items were in abundance and the majority of the door prizes were donated by the Bergen Town Center. Empire Beauty School of Paramus donated the hair makeup of the models.

Committee members in addition to co-chairs Mukesh Malkan and Sherry Wilson were: Tina Apprich, Joe Castelano, Bob Doyle, Mel Fabrikant, Lina LoRusso, Sharon Maloney, Bob Sherwood, Lori McCauley, Christina Grisales, Pat Romero, Colleen Rouzic, Rachel Swanson. Gary Spivak and Sophie Stone.
