Second Annual Event to Include 100 Employers with Jobs Available for Veterans and Military Spouses
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation will partner with the Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS) consortium of financial institutions to host “Hiring Our Heroes – New York City,” a hiring fair to connect veterans and military spouses. 100 employers are expected to participate with jobs available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience. Companies range from Wall Street financial firms to small companies from the region. Since its launch in March 2011, Hiring Our Heroes has held more than 200 hiring fairs nationwide, helping more than 9,500 veterans and military spouses find employment.
VOWS is an initiative dedicated to honoring former military personnel and employees currently in the National Guard and Reserve by facilitating career and business opportunities in the financial services industry.
