Retired Puerto Rican Teamster members will hold their bi-annual conference and 60th Anniversary celebration in San Juan Puerto Rico on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 1 pm (PR EST) and roll out a new report featuring locals who have retired, returned home to the island, and who benefit from Social Security and Medicare.
The report contains new data, including how many dollars flow into The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and each of its counties in a year, as well as the types of benefits and profiles of people who receive benefits. Featured in the report are two members of the Teamsters who immigrated to the United States and then returned to Puerto Rico to retire for their golden years. These reports highlight the fact that behind every number is a real person with a real story who utilizes these modest benefits.
