“We speak the language of Barolo AND Manolo!” quips Elaine Honig, Founder of Wine Women & Shoes – the fastest-growing luxury event series created for women by women in the U.S. Now in its ninth year with events in twenty-four cities (and counting), WW&S has helped net $9 million for the various women’s and family-related causes that host this annual fundraiser, which began in Napa Valley.
Approximately 300 wine-savvy, shoe-loving women will kick up their heels for a cause as they gather to sip varietals from some of the country’s top winemakers, shop the latest trends in the multi-designer Marketplace, and swoon over the charming “Shoe Guys” serving up this season’s must-haves on silver platters.
As the Shoe Guys wax poetic on the “fine art of wine and shoe pairing,” guests will get a special skip in their step with the opportunity to bid on auction items including one-of-a-kind Salsa Shoes signed by Victor Cruz and a once-in-a-lifetime Napa Valley getaway. WW&S will also feature an amazing Key to the Closet Raffle presented by California Closets. This closet is every woman’s dream, and is filled with clothing, shoes, accessories, and more. And to top it off – it includes $3,500 towards a custom closet to house all the new wears!
From pearls to peep toes, Marketplace designers will include fabulous footwear from Saks Fifth Avenue and Piazza Della Sole, jewelry and accessories by Robyn Ross and Marta Stephens Fine Jewelry and handbags showcased PK Collection – to name a few – while delectable nibbles are provided by Indian Trail Club and Le Petit Gateau. Swirls just wanna have fun thanks to sensational wines from Perrier Jouet, Hahn Family Wines, Middle Sister and Francis Ford Coppola, and many more.
This is an event with some serious sole: all proceeds benefit the League of St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, and the Rehabilitation Service Line at St. Joseph’s Healthcare System.
Change your shoes, change a life!
