Mephibosheth In Ghana Is Introduced To Paramus Sunrise Rotary
As a result of their efforts, the Mephibosheth Training Centre came into existence. It is a school where they learn basics like bathing, dressing, to take care of themselves and raise their self esteem. The school teaches the ABC's and the 123's; the students learn that they can achieve their goals. Starting out as physically and mentally disabled, they are carefully nurtured into becoming responsible members of society.
Originating as an effort to provide physical therapy and wheelchairs in 1992, MTC has blossomed into a fully caring ministry effort. One of their supporters is the Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. Members of this congregation not only support the MTC endeavor, but its members have 'adopted' some of their students. In doing so, they lend support in the form of clothing and some luxuries.
Mrs. Appiah so impressed the members of the Paramus Sunrise Rotary Club with her PowerPoint presentation that they donated $200.00 to the Centre and several members are examining ways to assist even more.
