Their study of Paramus relates how Paramus was founded and why, as well as its history as the celery capital of the world. Included are pictures of the bathing beaches, amusement park and airport. The latter is depicted on the wall of the TD Bank branch at Passaic Street/Paramus Road and Garden State Plaza Boulevard. This dynamic duo interviewed many people in order to get a handle on what made Paramus grow. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Borough of Paramus, it gives much insight.
While it was impossible to cover everything in town, my favorite is the 4th of July Parades in which the Paramus Flying Club entered three aircraft which flew overhead. In one of the floats, their teen division managed a Control Tower which in the early day did the almost impossible task of maintaining communication with the three Paramus Flying Club pilots overhead. In those days, it was quite a feat!
