Employees at Toyota of Hackensack will be wearing purple buttons that promote the Longest Day, a team event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association held annually on the summer solstice, June 21. The duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers.
Why donate? More than 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s in the United States. That number climbs to 47 million worldwide. This disease costs the country billions of dollars every year as well as heartache for so many families.
“Toyota of Hackensack is committed to our customers and the greater community,” said Frank Holtham Jr., president, Toyota of Hackensack. “Many of our customers have been affected by Alzheimer’s. We hope that whatever money we raise can help advance research in fighting this difficult disease.”
In connection with this program, Toyota of Hackensack is also offering a discounted service special that includes and oil change, tire rotation, 27 multi-point inspection and battery check.
