President of NJSEEDS Is Distinguished Speaker at Sunset Rotary Club

Ronni Denes, seen here with club member Steve Wolferman, is President of NJSEEDS.

NJ SEEDS provides exceptional educational opportunities to motivated, high-achieving students from low-income families. Since inception, more than 2,000 students have graduated from their four programs. Founded in 1992, New Jersey SEEDS is a privately funded, statewide, nonprofit organization. The lives of motivated, high-achieving students from low-income families are changed by transforming their educational opportunities.

NJSEEDS ensures that students have the knowledge, skills, access and support to thrive at the nation’s finest schools and colleges. NJ SEEDS identifies and selects scholars at different points along their educational trajectory and has developed distinct academic programs to meet their needs. Each program - ScholarsYoung ScholarsCollege Preparatory , and College Scholars - is designed to rapidly build the critical thinking skills and knowledge base that will allow students to thrive in far more challenging school environments than those from which they come. Sunset Rotary Club – Glen Rock, Paramus and Ridgewood, is a member of the family of Rotary clubs worldwide. Meetings are held Wednesdays at 6 pm in the Bonefish Grill, Paramus Park. The Club is highly active, hosting distinguished speakers every week, organizing fund raisers and food collections, donating funds to worthy charities, providing meals and barbecues for those in need; aiding servicemen who have been injured in the recent wars. All of the members give of their time and resources selflessly in the true tradition of Rotary, the oldest philanthropic organization in the world with 1.25 million members in 34,000 clubs in 175 countries.
