Young Professionals' Paint & Wine Night Fundraiser

HACKENSACK, NEW JERSEY:  Art or paint party enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to a Paint & Wine Night, hosted by the Young Professionals (YP) of the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. (DFI), on Thursday, August 25 at 7:00 p.m. at The Artistic Giraffe:  193 ½ Main Street in Hackensack.  For $40 per person, participants will enjoy wine (BYOB), snacks, a fun social event, and an opportunity to create and take home a painting.  Space is limited, so individuals are encouraged to reserve a seat by contacting YP at 201-444-0337 or via their website:  www.ypdiabetesnj.org.  All proceeds from this event will help fund DFI programs and services.

The DFI Young Professionals is a cause-related subgroup of the DFI that raises health awareness about diabetes among young adults through networking, education, and social events.  The group was created to educate young adults on the causes, treatment, and successful self-management of diabetes through community fundraising and support.  The group’s primary objectives are to serve the needs of young adults diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes; coordinate events to raise awareness and generate funding; provide linkages to community resources to promote the self-management of diabetes; and offer short-term medication assistance to those struggling to pay for medication and supplies.  For more information about YP, email [email protected]

Since 1990, the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. (DFI) has been dedicated to serving low-income, uninsured, and underinsured New Jersey children and adults with diabetes.  DFI improves patient care and quality of life by focusing on four main areas of support:  medication and medical supplies assistance, patient support services, diabetes public education, and Camp Nejeda scholarships.  For more information, contact DFI at 201-444-0337, [email protected], or via their website:  www.diabetesfoundationinc.org.
