Ringwood, NJ – The 9th season of the Ringwood Farmers’ Market is underway providing locally grown produce and products. Each Saturday, from 9AM to 1PM, vendors and volunteers look forward to greeting familiar faces and meeting new customers.
Vendors provide customers with a wide variety of locally grown and produced food. Shop for the freshest local fruits and vegetables along with the area’s finest baked goods, honey, farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, lamb, pork and poultry, homemade jam, fresh pasta and ravioli, Greek prepared specialties, gluten free entrees, pizza, gluten free baked goods, pickles, hot coffee, sandwiches, herbs, plants and so much more! This year, we have added an artisan and guest vendor spot, so there will be special treats each week.
The Ringwood Farmers’ Market provides a well-rounded community experience complete with a variety of vendors offering locally grown produce and produced food, as well as non-profit community groups, local musicians and an artisan spotlight featuring products made by local artists. Vendors support one another and use the local produce that they purchase for their own products for sale at the Market. Tasty food samples are available and children can enjoy creating chalk drawings and play with hula hoops in front of the band area.
The Music at the Market program offers local and regional musicians performing throughout the season. Shaded seating is available while enjoying the best musicians our region has to offer.
Upcoming special events at the Ringwood Farmers’ Market include an Artisans’ Sale, a Wellness Day and weekly Music at the Market performances. The Artisans’ Sales will feature regional craft artists on October 29th. Wellness Day will be held on September 24th with a massage therapist, reiki therapist and so much more on hand to provide treatments at the market.
The Ringwood Farmers’ Market accepts EBT (Food Stamp & Cash Assistance Benefits – SNAP) cards. EBT card holders can go to the Market Manager tent and use their benefits to purchase “Green Market Bucks.” The Ringwood Farmers’ Market will give shoppers double the value on these bucks, up to $20, to purchase eligible food and beverages at the market. Eat Local’s Healthy Families Program teams up with the Center for Food Action to bring fresh produce to our neighbors who are struggling with food bills. Local families receive funds to shop at the market.
