NY WATERWAY FERRIES ARE FREE FOR MILITARY & VETERANS DURING FLEET WEEK AND FOR KIDS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Expanded Low-Cost Weekend Ferry Service Begins Memorial Day Weekend.

All uniformed military personnel and veterans with identification ride free on NY Waterway ferries during Fleet Week May 23 – May 29.
Kids under 12 years old ride free on all ferries between New Jersey and Manhattan from Saturday, May 26 through Memorial Day, May 28.

All can take advantage of NY Waterway’s new reduced-price ($5 - $7) weekend ferries from Weehawken (to Downtown), Hoboken (to Midtown & Downtown) and from Jersey City (to Midtown & Downtown). NY Waterway ferries are the fastest, most convenient way to get to all the Fleet Week and Memorial Day weekend activities.

Ferries also offer a great vantage point for the Parade of Ships, as warships cruise up the Hudson River past the New York skyline on the morning of May 23.

Thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will be in Manhattan for Fleet Week New York.  Hosted nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York offers ship tours, musical performances, athletic competitions, interactive World War II displays and other events – including a Memorial Day ceremony at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
