As an added Memorial Day attraction, kids ride free on all NY Waterway weekend ferries from Saturday, May 26, through Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
The expanded Downtown weekend service starts Saturday, May 26, between Port Imperial in Weehawken, 14th Street in Hoboken, the Hoboken NJ TRANSIT Terminal and Brookfield Place/Battery Park City. Weekend ferries from Weehawken and Hoboken to Downtown Manhattan will run every 30 minutes, starting from Port Imperial at 9:36 a.m. The last ferry leaves Brookfield Place/Battery Park City for Hoboken and Weehawken at 8:05 p.m.
The one-way weekend adult fare is $7.
“Expansion of NY Waterway weekend ferry service and introducing Kids Ride Free for Memorial Day Weekend means even more New Jersey families can enjoy New York, and even more New York families can enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Weehawken, Hoboken and Jersey City,” said Mr. Imperatore.
“As we expand our seven-day-a-week ferry service, NY Waterway is even better prepared to provide emergency service when other transit systems are disrupted.”
For families visiting Manhattan, NY Waterway staff is available at several terminals to provide helpful information.

There is low-cost weekend parking at Port Imperial Weehawken and at Harborside Jersey City ($5), and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail serves all the terminals except Hoboken/14th Street. NJ TRANSIT buses also serve all terminals.
