Keeping within the policy of Bloomingdale’s Karina’s Cuchina of offering the best and newest in food preparation, Karine Abrahamyan, Culinary Specialist, brought in Maritime Parc for her loyal patrons. Chris Siverson, partner/ chef, accompanied by Peter, his able assistant, prepared several dishes and explained to the audience how and why he did the offerings. An able chef, a graduate of the French Culinary institute, Siverson fielded questions as he did his preparations.
Among his offerings were: Autumn Succotash and Butternut Squash Risotto with Sea Scallops and Crispy Prosciutto. Baking briefly, the prosciutto made it crisp for his dish. His sea scallops were sliced in layers before sautéing them and tested by their springiness to the touch. Chris went step by step in showing how he prepared his dishes and gave them individual presentations. The food he presented at Karina’s Cuchina was beautifully offered and pleasant to the palate.
