Low cost NY Waterway ferries offer the fastest, easiest option between Jersey City and Lower Manhattan this weekend, when PATH stations at Exchange Place and the World Trade Center are closed.
Ferries run between Paulus Hook and Brookfield Place/Battery Park City and between Harborside and Brookfield Place/Battery Park City every 20 minutes on Saturday and Sunday. The Hudson River Crossing from either Jersey City terminal takes just six minutes.
The fare on either route is $5, or $4 for children 6 to 11 years old. Children 5 years old or younger ride free.
The Paulus Hook Terminal and Harborside both are served by the Hudson/Bergen Light Rail. The Brookfield Place/Battery Park City Terminal is a short walk from the Downtown Connection, a free bus that circulates throughout Lower Manhattan.
