Mad For Mobile - Half Of CIOS Say Their Firms Have Or Will Offer A Mobile Application In Coming Year


“There’s an app for that” may apply to nearly half of U.S. businesses before the year is over, a new survey by Robert Half Technology shows. Twenty-seven percent of CIOs polled recently said their companies already offer a mobile application, while another 22 percent said they plan to offer one in 2012.

BoatUS Asks: If Not Ethanol, Why Not Butanol?


With its ability to attract moisture and clog fuel filters, it’s no wonder America’s boaters have not been thrilled with ethanol in gasoline, which today is most commonly found as a 10% blend and known as E10 at the gas pump. America’s desire for renewable fuels is growing, but recent Department of Energy tests on boat engines showed that increasing the amount of ethanol to 15% doesn’t work for boats. While higher ethanol content has been approved by the EPA for 2001 and newer cars and light trucks, E15 is not legal to use in boats and other gas-powered equipment.

Menendez: Extend Payroll Tax Cut Through 2012


Tea Party Economics Again Threaten Tax Break for Middle Class. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) today released this county-by-county map showing how a failure to extend the 2% payroll tax cut through the end of 2012 will affect the pocketbooks of working families in New Jersey. At the end of December, Congress approved a two-month extension which is set to expire at the end of February. If allowed to expire, the median New Jersey family will see their taxes jump $1,141 due to the 10 months remaining in 2012 in which they would no longer see tax relief.

While anyone can put flowers in a vase or container, Ikebana teaches form and meaning. The Ikenobo Ikebana Society New York Chapter met at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 650 Pascack Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 to take lessons and have a Mini Exhibition in time for the Chinese New Year celebrated at Trinity on Sunday February 5, 2012. Led by Professor Toshio Okimatsu, sensei, the group was industrially preparing unique floral arrangement per the Ikenobo tradition.
