Paramus Democrats have a beefsteak dinner coming


The Paramus Democratic Organization invites residents to attend its Annual Beefsteak Dinner honoring their 2006 Municipal Candidates for Election on Monday, October 30 at 7:30 at the Elks Club, Rte 17N, Paramus. Mayor Tedesco who is seeking re-election, and Council Candidates Denis Niland and Fred Hayo will be on hand to meet and greet all guests.
In years past the dinner has been opportunity for candidates to take short break from traditional campaigning and get together with residents in a social environment and share ideas.

Paramus Republican Club to Host Pancake Breakfast


The Paramus Republican Club invites all residents to attend its annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, November 5, at the V.F.W. Hall, 6 Winslow Place, Paramus, from 8:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Mayoral Candidate Michael Mariniello, and Council Candidates Sam Casiello and Pat O’Brien will be on hand to meet and greet all guests.

“We encourage all residents to bring their friends and neighbors to this event which will feature plenty of delicious pancakes, sausage, and coffee,” said Mariniello. “Participants will also be able to discuss with us any issues which may concern them and learn about our sensible solutions regarding taxes, development, open space, and pay to play.”

On Sept. 17, the nation's foundational document, the U.S. Constitution, turned 219 years old.

The Constitution was adopted by the Constitutional Convention on that date in 1787 but was not formally ratified until June of 1788.

Though the Constitution makes no mention of God, the case for the American Revolution frequently was painted in terms of morality, and declared as "God's will" in sermons preached in colonist churches.

Parkway Groundbreaking


Parkway Groundbreaking
The Mayor and Council together with BOE had a groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off the facility improvements pursuant to recently finalized agreement between the Borough and the BOE. The improvements include but are not limited to new basketball courts, additional parking and approx 8 acres of new irrigated and sodded fields for baseball, soccer and lacrosse. The improvements are scheduled to take place over the next two to three years.
