Mayor & Council Meeting 5-23-06


The Paramus Mayor and Council meeting got off to a late start. This was due to their coaching the students who were representing them. Oh yes, this was the Student Government program initiated by the Paramus Elks Lodge 2001. The Council members enjoyed it as much as, if not more than the students from Eastbrook and Westbrook schools. 

The Mayor honored your www.ParamusPost.com reporter (and Paramus resident) by asking him to lead the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. In the absence of Borough Clerk Ian Shore, Don Cirulli made his first appearance as Deputy Clerk

Whitewater Canoeing on the Delaware


Paramus Rotary Canoe Trip
Weather prediction: Rain, cool and windy. This did not daunt ten Paramus Rotarians and their 20 guests from setting forth on the Annual Family Canoe trip down the Delaware on Sunday morning of the 21st of May. The river was higher than usual which made traversing it much easier for the rafting people and the kayakers. Once again, Bill Weiss played flotilla guard and checked on our entire crew to assure their safety.
