Removing tattoos is painstaking, expensive process

SOUVENIR OF YOUTH
SOUVENIR OF YOUTH
Tattoo parlors are doing a land-office business these days, and the customers are not drawn from a pool of street toughs as once was generally believed.

The Wonder Wheel at Coney Island

I received this from my good friends, Dennis and Steve Vourderis. I have known the family for years.

WINS Radio and other news sources are incorrectly reporting that the WONDER WHEEL Park has sold. It has not. The apparent source of this wrong information is an employee at Thor Equities, (the buyer of Astroland).

As you may know, the WONDER WHEEL, a NYC Landmark ride built in 1920, is the centerpiece of Coney Island and the 25 ride amusement Park owned and operated by the Vourderis Family.

DivX may be setting the standard on new compression technology

SHRINKING EXPANSION
SHRINKING EXPANSION
Walking into DivX's San Diego headquarters, it's hard to miss a deja vu vibe from the Internet bubble of 1999.

There's the casual attire - employees walking around in T-shirts and baggy jeans, shorts and flip-flops.

There's the Space Age furnishings and game tables, relics of the defunct Internet music company MP3.com, which used to occupy the building.
