Boy's effort to help a friend results in CD and Make-A-Wish fundraiser

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
When Skyler Pia's friend Erik was very ill, Skyler thought music might cheer him up. Even at 6, Skyler knew music can be good medicine. After all, music had always made him feel good. Surely it would work for Erik.

The two of them had just visited the Pixar Animation Studios in the San Francisco Bay Area. What might have been the perfect field trip was too much for Erik, then 8, who was tired and not feeling well at all.

BLACK AND WHITE

By Mike Dennehyimage

Under age 40? You won't understand.)

You could hardly see for all the snow,

Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go.

Pull a chair up to the TV set,

"Good Night, David. Good Night, Chet."

Depending on the channel you tuned,

You got Rob and Laura - or Ward and June.

It felt so good. It felt so right.

Is it a miracle? You decide!

Is it a miracle?
Is it a miracle?

Although I strongly adhere to being Jewish, there are times when I don't observe all the protocols. Keith's firmness in our belief gave me the impetus to fast for this solemn holiday.

Several things happened after that!

Miracle!

By Alexis Fabrikant
Miracle
It has always been said that I ask too many questions. In my formative years my mother called me Curious George,. Now that I am older I am often called The Interrogator by some of my favorite people.

One important part of my life is finding out who I am, who are the people that make up my family? I realized this sense of urgency when I was a sophomore in college.

A father and a brother speaks out!

Loving Brothers
Loving Brothers
PROUD FATHER, LOVING BROTHER Reaching Closure
By Robert Fabrikant

More than 50 years ago I first learned that my father had a son from a former marriage. For reasons entirely inexplicable, I never sought out my brother from that former marriage. My father had turned his back on that son when the boy was not even 10 years old. Perhaps out of a sense of loyalty to my father, I blindly followed his example. Even after my father died, I stayed the course without giving it any thought. I did so even though my father had never told me why he had forsaken his first son.
