Paramus Cultural Arts Council Bullletin

Valerie Coniglio has issued the Fall edition of the PCAC bulletin. In it she thanks everyone who participated in making the inaugural year a success. Recognizing that the weather wasn't always as friendly as the Paramus residents, Valerie feels that these events have helped knit Paramus into a tighter community.

Commenting on the July 22nd reopening, she wrote " Those who were there would undoubtedly agree that it was a refreshingly nostalgic evening. It was a unique moment to be able to look out on the lawn as mother's fed their infant babies, young adults sat on blankets and grandparents tapped their feet to the tunes."

On a recent Sunday, I visited St. Athanasios Greek Church on Paramus Rd. to sample a bit of their religion. It was a rewarding experience bringing one deep into Greek culture, almost like an operatic venture into Greece and its inhabitants. The ceremony was steeped in pageantry, costuming, music, song and religion.
